The Thief
Posted by ChayNicholeJun 4
He’ll creep in
As silent as a whisper of wind
You’ll not hear him, as he descends
Into your home without a sound
For he’ll not be leaving
Until what he wants, he’s found
The quiet little thief, no one has known him
For the reason that he belongs to another Kingdom
He has slipped in, and he’ll gently fade out
He’ll have his prize without doubt.
Taking the goods back to his love so precious
Receiving that smile that had seemed so infectious
Even knowing deep within
That stealing is his great Sin
He’ll not give it a second thought
For he now has her love
For which he has longingly fought.

I like this one, Chay! I think of a cupid, striking the unknowing with those impossible-to-escape arrows of his. He is a great shot, let us not forget that. He has the ability to hit the strong souls and giving hearts without question of purpose. Love can certainly feel that powerful. Written in 2003, eh? Right on.

Thanks Charles! I really enjoyed writing this one. However, now that I’m thinking about the time frame when I wrote it, I think it was more around 2001. I had actually been reading a book series that inspired it, at first, it then became my own creation of words and meaning. It is somewhat more meaningful when that happens though, I feel =)
Thank you for your comment, again! <

Chay, i think this is the best writing ive had the pleasure of reading from you. Very interesting. Its nice to have different interpretations. I instantly thought of a sort of evil mist that you cant see but has the ability to take the most precious away, your soul. I really like this one, its interesting, the more you write the more you open yourself up and the more i can see what makes you tick. I think the ability to be vulnerable, to open yourself to the world is one of the most… respectful and strongest qualities a person can obtain. right-o

Thank you Nyalic. I’ve very encouraging to know that someone with the talent that you posses would speak so highly of something I’ve written. And you’re absolutely right, it’s extremely difficult to allow vulnerability, in any part of one’s life. Particularly with your experiences, I appreciate the enthusiasm in your words.
